I have been meditating on the word “treasure” for several years now, reflecting on how to order my life so that I am able to dive into the deep places where I imagine treasure to be found. This painting seemed to speak to me of the large reservoir of treasure held within those bedrock layers underlying the crumbly outer layers. May this painting speak to you of the treasures waiting to be revealed in the dark places.
